Three bathers’ afternoon at the beach was interrupted by an accident that ended with them in hospital. This Friday, three people suffered numerous injuries in the small cove of Sa Figuera Borda, near Platges de Comte, due to the violence of the sea, which threw them against a rusty metal structure.
As a witness who has contacted her tells us, Newspaper of Ibiza and FormenteraA wave of waves surprised the bathers, two women and a man, who ended up crashing against a rusty metal structure in the cove, next to the rocks.
The force was such that the three victims suffered numerous traumas as well as shear wounds that by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday had still not been able to be sutured due to the dirtiness of the wounds.
Luckily for the victims, two men helped them out of the water. According to the witness, there was a lot of blood, so much that one of the victims fainted briefly when he realized what had happened.
The injured went to the “nearest hospital” and were then sent to the Vila Health Centre for treatment as soon as possible. All of them suffered minor injuries.
“It is incomprehensible that an accident like this would happen in a cove that is accessible by a staircase, and where there are no signs of any kind of prohibition or danger, and even less so that there is a metal structure that is so dangerous for bathers,” said the witness.
