The colonel Nicolas Matthéos is appointed Commander of the Gendarmerie of New Caledonia. He had been a deputy for several months. He commanded the company of Nouméa and the Loyalty Islands, and therefore knows the territory very well.
Saint-Cyrien, he began as a platoon commander at the 21/6 mobile gendarmerie squadron in Hyères, before joining Hérault as commander of the departmental road safety squadron. was Deputy Secretary General of the Gendarmerie Military Service Council, then Deputy Senior Officer to the Director of Military Personnel of the Gendarmerie. He was also Chief of Staff of the Guadeloupe Gendarmerie and commanded the Saône-et-Loire group (71) from 2017 to 2020.
The colonel François Santarellicommander of the planning and crisis management center (CPGC) was appointed second in command of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté gendarmerie region, second in command of the Côte d’Or departmental gendarmerie group on the same date.
Former commander of the Charente group, he first served as an active reserve officer (ORSA) in the army (train), before joining the Gendarmerie. Upon leaving the EOGN, he was platoon commander of the Gendarmerie Mobile in Marseille. He then commanded the Villefranche-de-Rouergue company (12), served in the office of statistical analysis and evaluation of the activity of the operations and employment service, in the defense office, and was head of office in the operations and employment department.

The colonel Thibaut Lagrange, adviser to the DGGN on the subjects of transformation, digital, information systems and cybersecurity, is maintained in his position. This Saint Cyrian, black belt in judo 2nd dan, is also a graduate engineer from Télécom Paris. He began as commander of the intervention platoon of the EGM 34/7 of Troyes which he then commanded. After being a Telecoms project manager, he commanded the Aubagne company, spent a long period in the Department of Technologies and Information Systems of Homeland Security (ST(SI)2) before commanding the Rhône group.
