This concerns the players on whom the club is counting for next season. A particularly small contingent (Poussin, Gregersen, Bokele, Sissokho, Fransergio, Bakwa, Maja…) complemented by several young riders from the reserve (Mwanga, Louis-Jean, Ekomié, Depussay, Klidjé, Pirringuel, Vetrot). In total, according to our information: 16 players. It remains to be seen whether Elis and Onana, destined to leave the Girondins, and the recruits Barbet and Straczek, are part of it.
The others (Niang, Baysse, Oudin, Zerkane and Medioub in particular), pushed out by the management, were not called up until July 4, at the same time as the internationals (Ahmedhodzic, Ignatenko, Hwang, Mara, Klidjé). In Haillan, we assure that it will not be a “loft” of undesirables.
For the staff, still unknowns
Three friendly matches are already set: against Rodez on Wednesday July 6 in Agen, then against two opponents still unknown on July 9 and 23. A long-term training course is planned in Vichy from July 11 to 20 with, in the middle, the Emiliano Sala challenge in Orléans from July 15 to 17, disputed against Nantes, Niort and Caen.
As expected, change occurs at the level of the staff. The physical trainer Antonio Calado, with methods criticized last season, is not retained. Neither does Jaroslav Plasil. The arrivals of their replacements have not yet been finalized, knowing that David Guion, who arrived alone last February, wanted to recruit an assistant. Finally, Grégory Coupet (goalkeepers) and André Monteiro (performance manager) are maintained in their functions.
