Faced with the epidemic outbreak in Ile-de-France, Olivier Véran announced, Thursday March 11 during his weekly press conference on the health situation, that “dozens or even hundreds of patients” could be transferred from Ile-de-France to other regions and that the deprogramming of operations would continue.
On Saturday March 13, three patients from the Ile-de-France region were transferred from the Avicenne hospital in Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis), the Pompidou hospital in Paris and the Beaujon hospital in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine) to other regions. According to Frédéric Adnet, director of Samu 93, they are evacuated by helicopter to Nantes, Le Mans and Angers.
In order for these patients to be transferred, it is necessary “that they are in a stable state” and “the families have given their consent”, he specifies. Four more patients are expected to be evacuated on Sunday. Transfers which should accelerate in the coming days, thanks to the TGV.
