Three finalists in the fight for the FIFA Best Footballer of the Year award announced – Football – Apollo.lv – Sports

The football umbrella organization says the winner of this nomination will be announced next Thursday, announcing it in an online ceremony.

The favorite among these three is considered to be Munich “Bayern” striker Levandowski, who scored 55 goals in all tournaments for his team last season.

With his participation, “Bayern” won the UEFA Champions League, the German Bundesliga, as well as the German Cup.

Levandowski, 32, was previously named German Footballer of the Year and UEFA Best Footballer of the Year.

Last year, Fesi won the FIFA prize, a year earlier it was won by the Croatian Luka Modričs, while Ronaldo won it in 2016 and 2017.

Ronaldu is the only footballer to receive this award twice.

Brazilian Alison Becker (Liverpool), German Manuel Noiers (Bayern) and Slovenian Jan Oblak (Madrid’s Altetico) are nominated for the Best Goalkeeper award.

The coaches include Marcelo Biels (Leeds United), Hanssi Flick (Bayern) and Jürgen Klops (Liverpool).

In the ladies’ competition, the best player is nominated by English national team player Lucia Bronze (Lyon Olympique), Danish Pernille Hardera (Wolfsburg / London Chelsea) and French representative Wendy Renar (Lyon Olympique).

It has already been reported that the best footballers in the “France Football” version will not be determined this year, thus the prestigious “Ballon d’Or” award will not be presented.
