Three elements of club Fútbol América test positive for COVID-19 in Mexico

Three members of América, one of the most popular clubs in Mexican soccer, tested positive for COVID-19, without showing symptoms, the top title winner in Mexico with 13 trophies reported on Wednesday.

Despite the positive cases, the “Eagles” of America will begin their participation in the Grita México Clausura 2022 tournament on Friday when they visit Puebla.

“After carrying out 45 PCR tests on members of the first team, technical body and staff, the technical department detected three positive cases of COVID-19, which are isolated, under observation and treatment,” the team reported in a statement without clarifying if the cases are players.
