Three people were killed on Sunday in a road accident between the district of Dankakoro and Falama, within the urban commune of Siguiri, in the northwest of Guinea, we learned from local sources.
The accident was caused by a dump truck which collided with two motorcycles (file image).
The three victims are passengers of the two motorcycles dragged by the truck in its mad race.
Among those who died were a 24-year-old woman, an 18-year-old and a one-year-old baby. Added to this is a seriously injured person who was transported to the Siguiri prefectural hospital.
According to concordant sources, after the accident, the driver of the dump truck fled, provoking the anger of the inhabitants of the locality who immediately set fire to his machine.
The anger of the populations temporarily disrupted traffic on the road leading to Dankakoro and Falama.
