Three cities from Baden-Württemberg in the lead

At the forefront of Ranking of the travel voucher portal Tripz Karlsruhe and Hanover share the top position with the same number of points. For its ranking, the portal compared local transport in the 25 most populous cities in Germany and evaluated it based on various criteria.

Points were awarded for the range of public transport options available, such as subways, suburban trains, buses, trams or ferries, how many lines there are and how quickly – in relation to the size of the city – you can get from the northernmost to the southernmost or from the westernmost to the easternmost stop and how many changes you need to make.

Stuttgart and Mannheim in 4th and 5th place

Karlsruhe scored 61 out of 70 possible points in this ranking and was particularly convincing due to its speed and the low number of transfers (only one each) to get from north to south (86 minutes) and from west to east (82 minutes).

In addition to Karlsruhe, Stuttgart (54 points) and Mannheim (53 points) also performed well, coming in 4th and 5th place. Other cities from Baden-Württemberg were not included in the ranking because they are not among the most populous cities in Germany.

Incidentally, the capital Berlin came in last place, behind Hamburg and Dresden.
