Three Polish speleologists have been trapped in the Lamprechts Cave in St. Martin near Lofer in Salzburg’s Pinzgau since Thursday evening. The three men could no longer go outside because meltwater had penetrated the tunnel system and blocked the way back. There is currently no contact with the three members of the registered expedition, said the operations manager of the Salzburg Cave Rescue, Gernot Salzmann. But: “These are full professionals, at least one of whom knows the cave very well.”
