Three candidates for the position of a member of the Riga Circus Board
Riga, Dec. 2, LETA. In the open competition announced by the Ministry of Culture (MoC), three candidates have submitted applications for the position of a member of the Board of the state SIA “Rīgas cirks” by the specified deadline, Lita Kokale, the head of the Public Relations Department of the MoC, informed LETA.
Candidates will be evaluated by a specially nominated nomination commission chaired by Dace Vilsone, State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture. The Deputy Chairwoman of the Commission is Baiba Zakevica, Deputy State Secretary for Development and Finance of the Ministry of Culture, Jānis Vimba, Member of the Board of the Latvian National Theater, Zane Kreicberga, Head of the Department of Performing Arts of the Academy, Chairwoman of the Latvian Theater Council.
The commission will organize interviews with the applicants, in which the in-depth evaluation of the proposals for the further development of the “Riga Circus” developed by the candidates, the ways and means of their implementation will be evaluated.
It has already been reported that the requirements for candidates for the position of a member of the Riga Circus Board in the open competition are impeccable reputation, academic higher education or second level professional higher education in social sciences or humanities, except for first level professional higher education.
At least two years’ experience in a managerial position in a state or municipal corporation, association or foundation acquired in the last ten years, knowledge of the official language and at least two foreign languages, knowledge and understanding of the cultural sector, in particular the circus sector, knowledge and understanding of the ability of the operation and management of a state capital company, including financial management, to present and substantiate its opinion.
The pre-tax salary of a member of the Riga Circus Board is set at 2,680 euros.
