– Two men aged 41 and 28 and one woman aged 29 were arrested on suspicion of murder after they got off a flight from Dubai, says Superintendent of Police Mark Chapman in a statement to Sky News.
The three, who have been on the run for over a month, have been imprisoned and will be questioned, the police say.
Their flight landed at Gatwick Airport in London just after 7.30pm local time. They should then have flown from Pakistan via Dubai.
Another passenger on the plane tells the TV channel that the three were arrested without incident as soon as the plane landed. They were then taken off the plane before the other passengers were allowed to leave.
The murder of Sara (10): – Sign up!
Called from Pakistan
Sara Sharif (10) was found dead in her home in Woking, England, on August 10 after a man, who claimed to be her father, called the emergency number in England from Pakistan.
A short time later, the father, stepmother and uncle were wanted for the murder.
Sara’s autopsy showed that she died as a result of extensive injuries, which had most likely occurred over time. She must also have been known to child protection before she was found murdered.
Sara’s mother has been informed continuously.
– Sara’s mother has been informed of the latest updates and is receiving support from specialists from the police. Our thoughts go out to her and other relatives after Sara’s death in this very difficult time, says Police Superintendent Chapman, according to The Guardian.

Sara also has five siblings between the ages of one and 13, who also traveled with the three adults to Pakistan. They were found on Monday this week at the grandfather’s, who told the BBC they had been with him since August 10.
They are now in a child protection institution in Pakistan, writes BBC.
Post video
Police believe the three who have now been arrested traveled to Pakistan on August 9, the day before Sara was found. They were wanted, and Pakistani police have been looking for them ever since.
Sara’s father and stepmother published a video last week in which they said they had gone into hiding in Pakistan for fear that the police there would “torture or kill” them. They also claimed they were willing to cooperate with British police.
Sara’s grandfather, Muhammad Sharif (68) lives in Pakistan. At the end of August, he went out with a prayer for his son, who was then on the run.
– Please sign up! he said to The Times.
The 68-year-old said that he and his family were bothered by raids by local police who were looking for their son.
– We just want the matter to be resolved, said the grandfather.
