Kyle Police responded to a vehicle theft report around 3:53 a.m. in the 100 block of Bunton Creek. Officers spotted the suspects’ vehicle leaving the scene and initiated a pursuit for several miles that ended when the suspects crashed into a utility pole on the shoulder of I-35 North near Exit 230 in Austin. Three of the four suspects were arrested as they attempted to flee on foot.

The suspects face multiple charges, including vehicle theft, engaging in organized criminal activity, theft of a firearm and evading arrest. Escobar Alvarez, identified as the driver, faces additional charges of evading arrest and reckless driving.

The charge against the fourth person involved is still pending.
