NEW YORK — A three-alarm fire broke out in the Bronx and left three people injured on Monday, according to the New York City Fire Department (FDNY).
The fire was reported in 69 W Kingsbridge Roadin between University y Reservoir avenuesin the section Kingsbridge Heights from the Bronx.
Firefighters responded to the scene around 7:04 p.m. after learning of a fire in a warehouse surrounded by an apartment building.
The fire spread to nearby apartments, according to the FDNY.
Multiple fire units responded to the scene, with 138 individual firefighters on hand.
Three civilians were slightly injured in the fire. Only one of them was transferred to Jacobi Hospital.
Authorities stated the fire was under control shortly after 9 p.m.

Firefighters shut off power to the residential building near the warehouse and evacuated more than 130 residents.
“They took us all out,” said Belkis Brasero, a resident of the nearby building. “There was smoke, I’m in the fifth [piso] and the smoke was already rising to the fifth floor staircase.”
The investigation at the scene, led by firefighters, remains ongoing.
