Hamburg – On Thursday at the press conference, Steffen Baumgart, coach of the Hamburger SVmeaning that his team will have to cope with three absences for the away league game at Hannover 96 on Friday evening at 6.30 p.m. Jean-Luc Dompe, Daniel Elfadli and Bakery Jatta will not be playing in the northern duel. This means that both of HSV’s wing positions are vacant.
Dompe and Elfadli unclear
It is not clear what exactly is wrong with Dompe. There is talk of muscular problems. In the first two games of the 2nd Bundesliga, the Frenchman played on the left wing and was substituted after 70 minutes in a 1:1 draw. It is not clear how long he will be out.
The same applies to Elfadli. The new signing from 1. FC Magdeburg was taken out of the game against Berlin in the final phase. There was apparently no injury involved. Since then, he has been working individually.
Four to six weeks break
Baumgart also announced the disaster on Wednesday. Jatta will be out for four to six weeks. “He has a ligament injury in his left ankle. For some it takes four, for others six. But four weeks is long enough, I think,” said the HSV coach. The right winger was replaced by Davie Selke in the 55th minute in Meppen.
Selke or Hefti for Jatta
Now the guessing game begins as to how the two outside positions will be filled on Friday. Fabio Balde (19) was already in the starting eleven in Meppen, but was replaced by Robert Glatzel fifteen minutes before the end. It could be a good idea for the 19-year-old to start again. Selke would be an alternative for Jatta, who could later be replaced by Glatzel. However, Silvan Hefti would also be an option for the right wing. Moritz Heyer could be a possible replacement for him in the right defense. There is still an option to try it out on Thursday in the Volkspark.
