The former Police Criminal Investigation Agency did not hesitate to fire his staff who were involved in rice mafia practices.
“I proved everything, so once again there is no monopoly. They feel the most powerful, they feel they have the right to have superpowers. concerned,” a press conference broadcast on Perum Bulog’s Live Instagram, Friday (20/1/2023).
According to Buwas, the mafia manipulated the price of Bulog’s rice so that it reached traders far above IDR 8,300/kilogram (kg). This was conveyed directly to the rice traders he met.
Meanwhile, the Food Task Force (Satgas) will investigate the rice mafia as conveyed by Bulog Director Budi Waseso. Deputy Head of the National Police’s Food Task Force Helfi Assegar said the perpetrators of mafia practices would be given a warning.
If it is not deterrent, then legal sanctions will be imposed.
“If we have been given a warning, can’t (obey) and don’t want to, we have to enforce the law. There are specific matters that are our target and of course an in-depth study will be carried out,” Helfi said at a joint press conference with Buwas.
