Threatening letters about explosives continued to flow on Saturday, demanding money

Emails with notifications of alleged explosives were sent to the police commissariats of Vilnius and Kaunas counties from 9 a.m. in the morning until 12 o’clock

All letters are sent from the same sender’s e-mail.

They say that explosives have been planted in various buildings. The threat actor did not specify in which buildings the alleged explosives were placed.

To avoid explosions, it is required to transfer up to 30,000 euros. The threat wanted the money to be transferred not to a bank account, but to the phone number he specified.

Police officers checked the premises but found nothing suspicious.

Kaunas County Police collected material for a pre-trial investigation regarding a false report of a danger to the public.
