Against discrimination: This is what Lufthansa says about the allegations
In response to a request from BR24, Lufthansa wrote about the allegations:
We contacted Bebe Rexha directly yesterday to understand the situation and are currently investigating the allegations internally. As an international airline, we connect people and countries around the globe. Our guests and employees come from all parts of the world. Diversity and equal opportunities are core values for our group and our corporate culture. We do not tolerate discriminatory behavior of any kind.
However, a Lufthansa spokesman denied that Bebe Rexha was unable to take her flight as scheduled. opposite the “Münchner Merkur” (external link): “She took her flight normally and on time.” When asked by BR24, Lufthansa would neither confirm nor deny this statement. In response to Lufthansa’s contact, Bebe Rexha later wrote on Instagram that a mere apology was not enough for her. She demanded a comprehensive investigation into the incident.

As Rexha later announced on Instagram, she had now arrived home safely. She also shared a video of a girl dancing to one of her songs – it was said to be “something that made her smile today”.
Munich Airport was recently in the headlines after a stowaway managed to smuggle himself onto a plane twice without a ticket. The man also had a knife with him.
Transparency note: The article initially stated that the knife the man had on the flight was not allowed. But as already explained in an earlier BR24 articlethe man was legally allowed to carry the blade, which was less than six centimeters long, in his hand luggage.
