The Gabonese government will he avoid yet another strike in the education sector, a threat looming around January 8? The Ministry of National Education is working on it, according to the thaw initiated yesterday with the unionists of the National Convention of Trade Unions in the Education sector (Conasysed). The primary and secondary trade union confederation complained in particular about the deafening silence of the authorities regarding their demands since February 3, 2020.

We are certainly heading towards an outcome of the threat of an indefinite strike brandished by Conasysed at the end of its general meeting of December 5. The unhappy unionists were indeed received Friday at the headquarters of their supervisory ministry for a working session prior to possible negotiations around hiding charges.

The Conasysed delegation led by its delegate general Louis Patrick Mombo had fruitful deadlines with that led by the chief of staff of the Minister of National Education. The trade unionists demanded from the supervisory authorities four prerequisites for the effective start of negotiations with a view to demining the muted crisis in the sector.

Finally, the duration of the negotiation period and the issuance of absence authorizations to all members of Conasysed who will take part in these negotiations and a meeting with the Minister of National Education.
Among the grievances of Conasysed against the authorities, we note the non-regularization of administrative situations, the non-organization of entrance exams to ENI and ENS, non-payment of balance reminders or non-payment. baccalaureate vacations and technical and vocational education exams 2020 session.
