According to a survey of the districts and independent cities, more than 4,000 violations of the corona requirements have been counted in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania since the start of the pandemic.
Most administrative fines and fines were therefore imposed in the Vorpommern-Rügen district, where there have been around 1,180 violations so far, including against the entry ban, the distance rules and the contact restrictions. There were around 7,500 corona checks in Rostock, and around 1,120 violations were found – 440 administrative offense proceedings followed. Here, too, the mask requirement and minimum distances were an issue, but there were also prohibited store openings, day-to-day tourism and breaches of regulations in restaurants and retail outlets.
Vorpommern-Greifswald: Almost 200 fines are legally binding
The district of Vorpommern-Greifswald reported around 550 advertisements. Of the 270 fines issued, almost 200 are now legally binding. As a result, around 34,000 euros in fines were enforced. The state capital Schwerin reported just under 430 administrative offense proceedings, the most frequent violations of the contact restrictions. There were also violations of prohibited gatherings such as celebrations in private apartments and violations of the mask requirement. In Northwest Mecklenburg there have been around 350 reports so far, around 75 percent in connection with violations of the contact restrictions.
Ludwigslust-Parchim: fines of 25,000 euros imposed
Ludwigslust-Parchim reported around 325 reports, most of them were counted in the city of Hagenow, in the Crivitz office and in Boizenburg / Elbe. According to the information, around 25,000 euros were collected through around 175 fines. The Mecklenburg Lake District district reported around 200 violations. The Rostock district initially did not provide any current figures; a month ago, around 30 violations were mentioned that were counted by the district regulatory office.
