The “Iași New Year” will take place today, December 31, 2022, starting at 21:00, in front of the Palace of Culture. At the beginning of the show, which will be followed by a fireworks display, artists from Iași will perform. Later, Carla’s Dreams (45 minutes), Keo (30 minutes), Ovidiu Lipan Șăndărică (30 minutes) and Andreea Lazăr (30 minutes) will take the stage.
“Iași New Year” will cost half a million lei
All services related to the “Iași New Year’s Eve”, including scenography, accommodation, travel, taxes, etc. will be provided by R & A Events & Concerts SRL-D for a total amount of 553,700 lei, excluding VAT. For the smooth running of the “New Year’s Eve in Iasi”, vehicular traffic will be closed/limited, depending on the needs. Therefore, between December 29, 2022, 8:00 am and January 2, 2023, 8:00 am, traffic is closed in Palatului Culturii square, between the tram lines and Anastasie Panu street, due to the location of the stage equipment .
Vehicle traffic will also be closed on Anastasie Panu St., between Sf. Lazar St. and Palat St. and in Palat St., in the section between Anastasie Panu St. and Sf. Lazar St., during December 31, 2022, 4:00 pm – January 1, 2023, 2:00 am Tram traffic will be closed on Anastasie Panu Street, between Sf. Lazar Street and Palat Street, but also on Palat Street, in the section between Anastasie Panu Street and Sf. Lazar Street, during the period December 31, 2022, 4:00:00 – January 1, 2023, 02:00, for the New Year’s Eve show. This year the municipality also organized the Iași holidays.
Special program for public transport
The Iaşi Municipality Police – the Roads Office, the Local Police and the Gendarmerie will make the decisions regarding the closure/limitation, depending on the needs, of the road traffic in the show area. During the winter holidays, until January 8, 2023, the public transport company will provide public transport services on the basis of a schedule adapted to the demand in the indicated range. Therefore, there are up to 30 percent fewer public transport vehicles on the lines on January 1 and 2. During the rest of the period, their number will be reduced by up to 20%. On January 1, 2023, the public transport timetable starts at 12:00.
