In Hungary, in early July, a law came into force prohibiting “propaganda of homosexuality” in schools.
In Budapest, Hungary, thousands of people took part in an LGBT pride to protest a law prohibiting the dissemination of information about homosexuality or gender reassignment in schools. About it informs Euronews Sunday 25 July.
The organizers called on participants to express their disagreement with the latest steps by the government of Prime Minister Viktor Orban, stigmatizing the LGBT community in Central European countries
In turn, the Hungarian government claims that its policy is aimed at protecting children.

We will remind that earlier in Hungary it was banned “promoting homosexuality” among young people… LGBT community associations and human rights organizations denounced the law as discriminatory.
Later The European Union launched a procedure against Hungary due to discrimination against LGBT people. The EC says the country has not substantiated why exposing children to LGBT material could be detrimental to their well-being.
