Thousands of people in California were evacuated to bushfire

In the US state of California, thousands of people have had to leave their homes because of a forest fire. The strong winds allowed the fire in the coastal region of Orange County to spread quickly. The National Weather Service warns against strong winds until tonight.

Nearly 25,000 residents were initially evacuated southeast of Los Angeles as a precaution. The authorities have now relaxed some of the evacuation orders. For example, the city of Lake Forest only has a warning. The mandatory evacuation still applies to Modjeska, Silverado and Williams Canyons.

More than 1,500 firefighters are working to get the fire under control:
