Thousands of people at “Lebendiger Neckar”

Despite 36 degrees and the summer heat, thousands of people came to “Lebendiger Neckar”. A public festival along the north bank in Ilvesheim, Edingen-Neckarhausen, Ladenburg, Heidelberg, Neckargemünd, Neckarsteinach via Hirschhorn to Eberbach.

A varied stage program with shows, dance, theater and music awaited visitors along the entire route. In addition, many clubs and institutions offered many hands-on activities, so that “Lebendiger Neckar” was an excursion for the whole family.

There was also a lot to learn about the Neckar and the habitat for flora and fauna – and all without a car. On the north side, the route was only open to bicycles, inline skates and hikers. Those who didn’t want to complete the 46-kilometre route at 36 degrees could use the expanded bus and train options.
