Florida airports are currently in a mess after all American airlines have cancelled hundreds of flights due to Hurricane Debby, which is a level 1 hurricane.

On Monday alone, 1,300 flights were cancelled and more than 1,800 suffered serious delays. Most of the problems occurred in Orlando, but not exclusively.

The problem is actually a bit more serious than these figures suggest, as 3,800 flights have been cancelled since Friday and throughout the weekend for reasons unrelated to the hurricane. Virtually all airlines have reported problems.

Among the countless cancellations, American Airlines has not operated any flights to Argentina from either Miami or New York for four days, which has caused a series of problems in a chain.

As for Hurricane Debby, the Florida coast was hit on Monday morning by winds exceeding 130 kilometers per hour. The governor declared a state of emergency in 61 counties, while in Georgia the same thing happened. In Charlotte, Georgia, there are also serious problems with flights.

As reported by REPORTUR.mxrecently the National Water Commission (Conagua) reported the formation of Tropical Storm Carlotta in the Pacific Ocean 480 km southwest of Playa Pérula, Jalisco, and 500 km southwest of Manzanillo, Colima, and moving west-northwest. (Tropical Storm Carlotta forms near Baja California Sur).
