London (United Kingdom), Oct 5 (EFE/EPA).- Thousands of people began demonstrating this Saturday in marches in support of Palestine around the world on the eve of the one-year anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attack against Israeli territory and the beginning of Israel’s military invasion of Gaza, which has cost the lives of more than 41,000 people so far. In London, a couple of hundred people gathered in the city center carrying Palestinian flags and signs calling for a ceasefire in Lebanon. The activists marched shouting ‘Free Palestine’ from the central Bedford Square to the Russell Square area, near the British Museum. Others carried Iranian flags and held banners with slogans such as “we do not support genocide” and “Zionism is racism.” IMAGES: TOLGA AKMEN CONTAINS IMAGES OF THE PROTEST IN SOLIDARITY WITH PALESTINE WHICH HAS ROUTED THROUGH CENTRAL LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM.
