Pasuruan (wartabromo.com) – The Pasuruan Police have tightened the mobility of cattle and goats following the increase in cases of Mouth and Nail Disease (FMD) in the local area.
The latest data obtained from the Pasuruan Regency Government, last Monday (6/6/2022), the number of cattle in Pasuruan that tested positive for PMK reached more than 1,133 heads.
The thousands of cows were spread over 12 sub-districts, namely Gondangwetan, Kejayan, Lekok, Lumbang, Nguling, Pandaan, Prigen, Purwodadi, Purwosari, Sukorejo, Tutur and Winongan sub-districts.
The Head of Pasuruan Police, AKBP Erick Frendriz, said that the partition was to monitor and limit the mobility of animals, including cows, goats and other two-hoofed livestock entering and leaving the Prigen sub-district.
“Monitoring the mobility of livestock at the Prigen isolation post will continue to be carried out and our joint officers will be on standby 24 hours at the prepared post,” Erick said, Wednesday (8/6/2022). (don/asd)
