Tens of thousands participated in a pro-Palestine march in central London, demanding an end to the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip.
The Metropolitan Police said an estimated 100,000 demonstrators gathered on Saturday afternoon to protest, with the procession heading from Marble Arch towards Whitehall Road.
Participants raised banners reading “Free Palestine,” while others raised the Palestinian flag and released flares of green smoke.
The gathering took place with the opening of the Rafah border crossing on Saturday, allowing humanitarian aid to pass from Egypt into Gaza.
British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly has described the aid shipments as a “lifeline”, although UN officials say they are insufficient to deal with the “humanitarian catastrophe” in Gaza.
The demonstrators in London demanded that Israeli air strikes on Gaza stop immediately.
Many countries around the world have witnessed protests over the past few days, in which protesters demanded an end to the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip, following the attack launched by Hamas on October 7.
