Thousands at “Rave the Planet” – S-Bahn & U-Bahn closures

For the third edition of the huge techno parade “Rave the Planet“ Around 300,000 people are expected in Berlin today. The party demo will take place in the Tiergarten on Straße des 17. Juni between the Brandenburg Gate and the Grosser Stern, following in the footsteps of Dr. Motte’s Love Parade. According to the organizers, 30 floats and around 300 artists will be there throughout the day. According to the police, 300,000 people have registered. According to the police, the event has been officially registered as a demonstration. This has major advantages for the organizers compared to a pure party parade. According to the information, the police will accompany the event with around 1,000 officers.

Against the heat: fans and bubble cannons

16:42: Black leather outfits, rhinestones on the face, Borat suits or brightly colored shirts: The scenery is as colorful as the mood. Dr. Motto at the start of “Rave the Planet”: Love is stronger than hate

15:05: At the start of the techno demo, speakers include Dr. Mottewhose real name is Matthias Roeingh. Love is stronger than hate and violence, he says about this year’s motto “Love is stronger”. Minister of State for Culture Claudia Roth (Greens) sent an audio greeting. “Techno is more than noise” and is an elementary part of the Berlin cultural scene. “Rave knows no origin, no gender and no social status.”
