There is a great interest of students who are candidates reported by the State University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” – Burgas.
620 candidate students appeared for the biology and chemistry exams for the special “Medicine” in the preliminary exams, and 600 people for the standard exam.
The specialties from the Faculty of Public Health and Healthcare are also attractive and in demand. All units are already used at the first rating. The number of candidates for the specialties “Midwifery”, “Nurse” and “medical assistant” is large. One of the attractive Bachelor programs “Health Management” has a state contract in full-time studies for the first year and all places are taken.
This is also true for professional bachelors “Rehabilitator” and “Pharmacist Assistant”.
And this year, by order of the Council of Ministers, several protected specialties are exempt from semester fees for students. These are: “History and philosophy”, “Bulgarian language and history”, “Ecology and environmental protection”, “Chemistry, Chemical Technologies”, “Chemical technologies and psychology of emergency situations”, “Glass technology, ceramics and construction fasteners’, ‘Oil and Gas Technology’, ‘Water Technology’, ‘Chemical Engineering’ and ‘Engineering Materials’.
Among the favorites are the specialties from the professional field “Pedagogy” and especially the specialty “Preschool and primary school pedagogy”. There, the places are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and almost all of them are based on the applicants’ first preference. For the first year, the university trains students in the “Special Pedagogy” in full-time and part-time studies. Interest in “Bulgarian Philology” has also increased.
As a first choice, many candidates have also focused on the majors “Computer Systems and Technologies” and “Software Engineering”.
More interest is also seen in the “Tourism” specialty with a “bachelor” degree. There are still vacancies in the College of Tourism. The Technical College also has the opportunity to admit new students between placements.
At the University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” applied by foreign citizens according to the Law on Higher Education. Since last year, special training has been done in “Medicine” in English.
Students who are not accepted and those who are not accepted on their first wish can monitor the dynamics of the vacancies and get the opportunity to study at Burgas State University.
From August 05, any new student applicant can submit documents to participate in the additional ranking for admission to the university.
