20-year-old Barış Çakan was killed by a knife attack of three people in Alsancak District of Ankara’s Etimesgut district. In a statement made by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, the suspects in the incident related to the murder of Barış Çakan by stabbing K.Y., A.B. and Ö.Y. were reported to have been arrested by the court.
FUNERAL WAS GIVEN IN THE SOIL
Çakan’s funeral was buried at the Elvanköy Cemetery after the funeral prayer following the noon prayer at Ahi Mesut Söğüt Mosque in Etimesgut.
DISCLOSURE FROM DEFENSE
In a written statement from the prosecutor’s office, it was stated that the victim, Barış Çakan, briefly walked from his home to see his friend B.A., and they saw K.Y, A.B and Ö.Y, who were listening to loud music in a vehicle while two young people were walking on the street:
The suspect, who was arrested as part of an investigation about the incident, in which the controversy between the parties turned into a fight, when the friend of the deceased B.A told the people that the adhan was also read and cut down the loud music, and the murderer Barış Çakan was stabbed in the fight and was dragged into crime with the incident. After Ö.Y’s statements were taken by our Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, he was referred to the Sentry Magistrates’ Criminal Court, demanding that they be arrested.
The suspects and the child dragged into crime are decided to be arrested separately by the Criminal Criminal Court of Peace, and the investigation proceedings are meticulously continued by our Ankara West Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
