Bali: Indonesian authorities have given unusual punishment to foreigners who walk without wearing a mask. Security officials punished foreigners who arrived in Bali without wearing masks with push-ups.
Indonesia has also made masks mandatory for those entering public places in the wake of Kovid. But those who did not comply were punished by the authorities.
Recently in Bali alone, security forces arrested about 100 people who were not wearing masks. The 70 were fined $ 7 each. But 30 people who said they had no cash on hand were ordered to push up as punishment. The recommendation was to push up 50 people who do not wear masks and 15 people who do not wear masks properly. Video footage of the incident has surfaced on social media.
Indonesia has announced that visitors to the country will be deported if they do not follow the Kovid protocol. But so far no such cases have been reported.
