In a blog post, Sony announced the most popular PS5 games in a download ranking.
The coveted PS5 is still sold out. Fans are eagerly awaiting the second half of January, when the console should probably be available again. Until then, we can at least see the coolest games that we can play on the new console.
Sony has in one new blog post the most downloaded PS5 games for Europe and the USA and Canada. The period of downloads in the PlayStation Store referred to November and December 2020.

“COD: Black Ops Cold War” is number 1
The absolute number 1 in Europe, the USA and Canada was “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War”. It is followed in Europe and North America by “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales” and “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla”. From fourth place on, the gamers’ preferences change, in the USA and Canada the following games were downloaded:
- Platz 4: “NBA 2K21 Next Generation”
- Platz 5: “Demon’s Souls”
- Platz 6: “Madden NFL 21”
- 7th place: “FIFA 21”
- Platz 8: “Sackboy: A Big Adventure”
- Platz 9: “Immortals Fenyx Rising”
- Platz 10: “Watch Dogs: Legion”

COD is also the leader in PS4 downloads in the US and Canada
Sony also released a list of PS4 downloads for 2020. COD: Black Ops Cold War was also the most downloaded game in the US and Canada. “Grand Theft Auto V” and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” came in second and third. In Europe, “FIFA 21” was at the top, followed by “FIFA 20” and “Grand Theft Auto V”.
