Stavanger Oilers 4-0 Storhamar
The temperature was high on the ice in Stavanger in the sixth minute into the third period of Thursday’s Fjordkraft League game.
Then Stavanger Oilers player Dennis Sveum hit Storhamar’s Patrick Thoresen, who was hit in the shoulder.
Thoresen retaliated by hitting back – right in the chin of Sveum, who went onto the ice and lay down.

– He gave me a push, and then he made a violent gesture to the referee. She again she just stands there and pretends she didn’t do anything. Then he is shot in the chest / neck region. If I wanted to punch him in the face, I would. I wanted to hit him in the chest. I wanted to point out that he shouldn’t feel like this after pushing Salsten on a round trip. It was a clear expulsion, and then he felt very sorry for himself, and then I was very provoked, Patrick Thoresen tells Hamar Arbeiderblad.
Thoresen was awarded a match penalty, while Sveum received a two-minute suspension.
– You can’t say it wasn’t provoked, but it’s terribly unnecessary of Thoresen, says TV 2 pundit Ruben Smith.
– In that situation he is completely foggy, says commentator Espen Ween.
Smith believes Thoresen could risk further punishment.
– One game is fine, says hockey expert Erik Follestad in the TV 2 studio.
