NEW YORK (Nettavisen): – Bill Gates is said to have ignored the rumors about Jeffrey Epstein because he thought he could get the Nobel Peace Prize.
New details about meeting Jagland
It writes the tabloid Daily Mail, after new details emerged about a meeting between Jeffrey Epstein, Bill Gates and Thorbjørn Jagland.
In 2013, Thorbjørn Jagland, who was then a member of the Nobel Committee, had a meeting with both Jeffrey Epstein and Bill Gates in Brussels. The meeting has previously been mentioned in Today’s business.
According to Jagland, Bill Gates is said to have requested the meeting, and even though Gates and Epstein arrived together, Epstein is not said to have participated in the conversations.

In an email to the Daily Mail, a spokesman for the Gates Foundation denies that Bill Gates worked actively to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
– Although the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize would of course have been a great honor, it is completely wrong to claim that Bill Gates was obsessed with getting this honor, had it as a goal, or in some way ran a campaign for this, writes the spokesperson.

They also write that Gates met Epstein because several sources claim that he would contribute millions of dollars to projects that the Gates Foundation worked on. The spokesperson also emphasizes that they were not friends, or went to parties together.

Jagland denied having met Epstein
As for Thorbjørn Jagland’s role in the case, then Jagland first denied having met Jeffrey Epstein at all when asked about this.
Asked by Today’s business, passed on by committee chair Berit Reiss-Andersen to the committee members, Jagland replied in December 2019 that he had never been in contact with Epstein.
