At 51, Thomas Tuchel has solid experience in high-level football. He forged a reputation as a tactical and demanding coachcapable of getting the best out of his players. His time at Chelsea was crowned with success, including a victory in the Champions League in 2021, which earned him great popularity in England.

If his appointment is confirmed, Thomas Tuchel would become the third foreign coach to take the reins of the England team, after the Swede Sven-Göran Eriksson and the Italian Fabio Capello.
