Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has revealed why he evacuated Callum Hudson-Odoi 30 minutes after pitching him against Southampton.
The Blues boss continued his unbeaten start to life in the Premier League and won a point in a 1-1 draw at St Mary’s, but was clearly frustrated with the result at the final whistle.

Callum Hudson-Odoi was sacked just 30 minutes after coming off the bench against Southampton
And Hudson-Odoi bore the brunt of that frustration after his brief appearance on the South Coast.
The 20-year-old England international replaced Tammy Abraham at half-time after the forward suffered ankle damage.
But Hudson-Odoi was quickly sent off on his own, as he became the first Chelsea player to be brought in and arrested in the same Premier League game this season.
Fans were left stumped by the boss’s decision as the players did not appear to have suffered any injuries.
And the boss admitted after the game that we were “not happy with his attitude” and his level of performance after leaving the bench.
.
It was another lively afternoon in the dugout for Tuchel, who was not happy with Hudson-Odoi’s performance
Tuchel told talkSPORT: “This was not the game plan, I was not happy with his attitude against the ball, he sometimes forgot about the back pressure situation.
“We talked about how we expected his energy, his pace of work and his conflicts with the games. I trust him a lot, I think he has played every game. But today I was not happy.
“I felt like he couldn’t stop me and didn’t accept the intensity that was needed. I made this decision, it is a difficult decision today. But tomorrow is forgotten.
