London –
Chelsea affected by the sanctions imposed by the British government on Roman Abramovich as club owner. The manager Thomas Tuchel complained.
British Government has imposed sanctions on Roman Abramovich, as a businessman from Russia and believed to be close to President Vladimir Putin. The sanctions also affected Chelsea.
Chelsea as an asset Roman Abramovich again frozen. Ticket sales are stopped (except season ticket holders), no new players can be bought, sponsors threaten to withdraw, until the club’s credit card is temporarily blocked.
Not to mention, Abramovich who wants to sell Chelsea must also be monitored by the British government. The profits should not go into Abramovich’s pocket either.
It was a British move to sanction Russia for invading Ukraine!
Reported from Sky SportsChelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel can’t say everything is fine. Tuchel admitted, the focus of the players and staff must be disturbed.
“Some players will feel uncertainty, some may be a little scared, some will be worried, and that is normal. Not only players who feel that way, but also all the staff at this club,” explained Tuchel.
Thomas Tuchel insists, Chelsea now only have to focus on the game and win. That’s the only way to stay calm.
“The best way in football is to keep winning, although we admit that now the situation is very difficult,” he explained.
Thomas Tuchel let out a sigh. Tuchel doesn’t seem happy that Chelsea like digembobois with sanctions that affect the club.
“We now only rely on ourselves. We are the ones who keep this sport, not us who made the situation like it is now and we can’t solve the situation,” he said.
“That’s what makes us continue to enjoy this sport. However, we still follow the existing regulations,” he added.
“We have to do our job. I’m happy we can still win (against Norwich) and then we are ready to compete again,” concluded the German.
