Long live socialism! is, in addition to the new book of Thomas piketty, the fragmented chronicle of the evolution of a thought in the matter of political economy. Because the author of Capital in the XXI Century Since the 1990s there has been a movement from more liberal positions to a diagnosis of globality that requires, more drastically, the overcoming of capitalism. Piketty proposes a new form of socialism, participatory, decentralized, democratic, environmentalist and feminist. This new ideology is displayed in this book, recently published by the Paidós label, through a series of articles that the economist published as monthly columns in the newspaper for five years (between 2016 and 2020) The world. In the prologue, Piketty himself points out that if in 1990 he had been told that thirty years later he was going to launch a collection of chronicles entitled Long live socialism! “I would have thought it was a bad joke.” But hypercapitalism has gone so far that it forced him to change his perspective.
