Berlin – A few days ago, Thomas Gottschalk (74) published his new book “Unfiltered: Confessions of someone who can’t keep his mouth shut.” The work was already on everyone’s lips in advance – the presenter repeatedly attracted attention with controversial statements. Among other things, the former “Wetten, dass ..?” host regularly shoots against influencers. Now he targeted a particularly prominent internet star: Gottschalk gossiped about Cathy Hummels (36).

On Thursday (October 17th) the TV star was a guest at Berlin’s Pfefferberg Theater as part of his reading tour. There he settled, t-online.de According to him, again and again about influencers. Finally the name Cathy Hummels came up. The 74-year-old’s facial expression spoke volumes: enthusiasm looks different. “Cathy Hummels offered to promote my book,” he said. Then Gottschalk reined himself in and explained: “But I’d rather not say anything more now, otherwise I’ll be talking out of my head.”

But the entertainer couldn’t help it and went for it again. “Or should I unpack about Cathy Hummels?” he asked the assembled 200 guests. They reacted clearly and answered his question in the affirmative. Despite the cheers, Gottschalk rowed back. “I’d rather not,” he said and changed the subject. Apparently the moderator didn’t want to risk incurring the influencer’s wrath.

However, it is not the first time that Gottschalk has railed against Cathy Hummels. In the “Supernasen” podcast with Mike Krüger (72), he criticized her for wanting to wear twelve different dirndls at Oktoberfest. “That’s absurd,” said Gottschalk angrily. His wife is much more modest and only uses “two dirndls, one is recycled”.
He also once received an offer from a television station to have Cathy Hummels style him. But he was probably not interested in so much contact – and possibly direct confrontation – and rejected the offer.
