interview
Random House is Thomas Champagne on alto sax, Guillaume Vierset on guitar, Ruben Lamon on double bass and Alain Deval on drums. All confirmed musicians who have been playing together for seven or eight years. In 2017, the quartet released Sweet Day, which we had applauded in these pages. Today’s jazz, rooted in history and allowing itself to be explored with passion. This is the band’s second album, Tide, and there the quartet became a quintet: Adam O’Farrill joined the others. Without altering the music of this random House and perhaps giving it extra energy. Conversation with Thomas Champagne.
