THE Thodoris Tselidis emerged victorious in the repechage final and brought the first medal for Greece at the Paris Olympics.
The 27-year-old judoka found it early on waza-ari against his opponent, the Spanish Tristani Mosaklisvili and in the remaining time he managed his lead smartly, winning the bronze medal in the -90 kg category in Judo.

Tselidis’ journey to the bronze medal
Tselidis dominated in the first round against Robert Florentino of the Dominican Republic, while in the next round he eliminated Serbian Nemanja Maidov, one of the top ranked judo fighters.
In the quarter-finals he was defeated by Maxim – Gael Abou, but had one more chance to win a medal, by participating in the repechage.
