This year, it was thought that the E3 fair would be held again. In January, the organizers of the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) realized that the covid pandemic was still too much of a threat and canceled the physical fair. It was then thought that it would still be a virtual fair online, but it will not be.
ESA has announced that the entire fair will be canceled and the organization will invest all resources in getting the best fair possible in 2023, reports Polygon.
The 2020 edition of the fair was completely canceled, but last year a digital version was held.
The Summer Game Fest game fair will be held in June at about the same time as E3 is usually held, which the fair’s creator Geoff Keighley was quick to point out after the message that E3 is set.
