It’s been in the air for a while, but it’s now official: the E3 2022 has been officially cancelled. At the beginning of this year, clear that the show would not physically take place in Los Angeles this year, because the world situation due to corona was still uncertain at the time. At the time, the ESA was aiming for a digital variant, as in previous years.
Recent rumors suggested, however, that the digital fair would also not take place this year and that now appears to be correct. The organization of E3 has announced that it will not set up a digital show this year, which means that E3 is definitively off the track. Whether this is also the death knell for the iconic stock market remains to be seen.
In the meantime, Summer Game Fest will continue as usual, so there will still be plenty to do this summer in terms of announcements and game news.
