It central theme is “being able to be who you are”. A theme that is common to many young people, according to research by the VRT study service. In addition to raising awareness about this theme, De Warmste Week will collect money for concrete projects that help ensure that everyone can be who they are or want to be. For this purpose, the VRT has specially set up the DWW Fund, managed by the King Baudouin Foundation.
“For example, it could be a football club that supports people with physical disabilities in sport,” explains Stéphan Tanganagba from. “It can also be a neighborhood committee that organizes Dutch lessons for non-native speakers. Or a project that creates a strong network for lesbian girls abroad.”
