In 2021, up to and including July 13th, almost twice as many drivers were caught under the proven influence of drugs in the state of Salzburg as in the whole of 2020. However, that does not change the criticism of police experts of the existing legal situation.

A comparison with 2019 and 2020 proves it impressively: The number of drivers under the proven influence of drugs, which the police in Salzburg has already withdrawn from traffic this year, has increased dramatically. While there were 59 drug drivers caught in 2019 and exactly 54 in 2020, by 2021 up to and including Tuesday, July 13th, there will be 100.
