Xiaomi recently promoted an event in Munich, where 4gnews was present. There we get to know some of the brand’s new products, including Xiaomi 12T series smartphones.

The eSIM (virtual SIM card) functionality is increasingly popular. And it is believed that physical SIMs may disappear from high-end smartphones in the not too distant future. Even the latest iPhone 14 uses eSIM only on units sold in the United States.
But this is not exactly the scenario of Xiaomi, which has just presented its first smartphone with eSIM support globally. We are talking about the Xiaomi 12T Pro, which comes with this support next to the classic SIM.

Unfortunately for consumers, not all countries and operators have eSIM solutions yet. And as such, the brand has shared a page where it is possible to consult the operators providing the service by country.
As you can see a via this link, in Portugal you can use eSIM if your operator is MEO or Vodafone. However, it’s worth noting that NOS also has eSIM support available from 2019, so the absence on the list isn’t noticeable.
