How are these display technologies different?
Well, the differences between the two are clear. While LCD panels typically turn on the entire panel so that the screen is illuminated, OLED or AMOLED panels do it pixel by pixel. Therefore, to display black directly, the pixel is turned off, resulting in much purer black colors. That enhances the color on these screens and therefore the sensation of color fidelity. In addition, they tend to use less energy, since with black backgrounds many fewer pixels light up, and therefore not as much battery is used, hence the meaning of dark modes on these phones. Without a doubt, a historic step is about to be taken by Xiaomi.
