This Woman Mysterious Disappearance of 40 Years, Facts Revealed in Septic Tank

London

The loss of a farmer’s wife, Brenda Venables has been a mystery for 40 years in the village of Worcestershire, Worcester, England. But in the end, this mystery was answered after Brenda’s husband was found guilty of murdering his wife. All revealed in a septic tank.

Reported from BBCBrenda Bolton was 23 years old when she met her husband at a young farmer’s event in Worcestershire.

Both from rural communities, they hit it off right away. After the first meeting at Droitwich Winter Gardens, Venables spends time seeing him at his home in the small village of Rushock, with work on his family’s pig farm.

They married in June 1960, before honeymooning in Jersey, and later moved in together at Quaking House Farm in Kempsey.

Venables’ father had given him land to build their house on. There, Venables raises pigs and the couple enjoys rural life.

To outsiders, their lives seem simple but beautiful. But on May 3, 1982, Brenda Venables disappeared.

Venables reported it to the police the next day. The day before, he said, his condition was still normal. At that time they were sowing potatoes.

His wife was also playing with the puppies on the fireplace rug and she didn’t notice anything unusual in his mood that night, or after they had gone to bed.

“I just woke up and found he was gone,” he told a journalist from the Worcester Evening News.

“He’s never done anything like this before and I have absolutely no idea what happened to him.”

He said he couldn’t sleep since his wife went missing. He added that his wife was suffering from depression from a bout of flu.

The village of Kempsey is in an uproar and residents are busy looking for Venables. West Mercia Police used helicopters to assist with the search and sniffer dogs searched farm buildings and abandoned property, but no trace of them was found.

Vicky Jennings, a friend of the couple, later shared that Venables seemed less concerned and was not actively looking for his wife.
