This will be the weekend’s weather winner

– A good deal of precipitation is expected in Finnmark in the next couple of days. Early Friday, enough rainfall is expected for an orange warning to be issued, so here it may be okay to be on guard, state meteorologist Rafael Escobar Løvdahl can tell Dagbladet from the cabin office.

In short, you may want to move south in the country, if you have not had enough of the summer heat and are afraid of getting wet.

The weather north of Stad will probably be more suitable for rain enthusiasts.

– The high summer in the north is probably over. They have had some pretty nice days with temperatures up to 30 degrees. They do not get that for the weekend, says the meteorologist.

But, even though the weekend starts quite hard, there is still hope for the sun-loving in the north as well:

– It will probably sparkle with a little sun from time to time, and the weather will gradually lighten over the weekend, says Løvdahl.

Trøndelag, Møre and Romsdal

Central Norway is also characterized by cold air.

– Trøndelag, Møre and Romsdal have also got a pretty cool weather type. There will be onshore winds and clouds, with precipitation on and off. A bit typical summer weather, says Løvdahl.

Here, too, it is on Sunday that one can expect it to ease, albeit temporarily.

– It looks a bit good on Sunday for Central Norway, but it will probably be short-lived and temporary, the meteorologist says.

Weather winner

– For Western Norway and Eastern Norway, we are still in a period of colder air, and Western Norway gets more showers than the eastern mountains, but it will not be so bad, says Løvdahl.

However, Eastern Norway is well sheltered behind the mountains, and like Sørlandet will experience the best summer weather ahead:

– It is in Eastern Norway and Southern Norway that it will clearly be the most sun and the least precipitation, says the meteorologist.

SNOW IN: Fortunately, Norway continues to be spared from the heat waves that characterize large parts of Europe, but some of the heat is expected to continue to snow in southern Norway during the coming week. Photo: Screenshot, Twitter

In Eastern Norway you can still occasionally get both showers and wind, but for the most part you can expect good summer weather.

The best weather will still be in Sørlandet, but also here it will be windy.

– Sørlandet is the clear weather winner, but they also win the wind. That is the price they have to pay to get clearly the most sun, says Løvdahl.
