Iberostar Tenerife has qualified for the ‘Top 16’ of the Basketball Champions League with one day remaining to complete the group stage. So far, they have only lost one game in this competition.

For safety in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, the Basketball Champions League has changed the format of the tournament. What would previously be a playoffs among the sixteen classified, this time there will be another group stage. The first and second of each group of the current phase will enter a draw from which four groups of four teams each will come out.

Those classified for this new phase will once again play a double round against the rivals in their group, in total six games, and from there the two best of each group will be classified again. The result will be a total of eight teams that the title will be contested in a final phase in knockout format, a single party and in a headquarters.
